Keep Artpace Cool – Continued pt 4

WATCH OUR VIDEO[caption id="attachment_14680" align="alignnone" width="960"]OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA So you’ve heard about how the malfunctioning a/c unit has affected our Artpace employees and visitors, but what about...the art!? Taylor, our Director of Programs & Exhibitions, tells us that there have been prior issues with moisture and humidity in some of the exhibition spaces, so special humidifiers had to be brought in to control the temperature as to not affect the art. It’s important to note that many of the artworks made through the Artpace International Artist-in-Residence would otherwise not have been produced, and without a functioning a/c, it will be difficult for us to provide an environment for artists to create. That’s why this new fundraising campaign is so important. We’re not just asking for your participation; we want to offer you unique experiences to show you how your donation helps keep the art at Artpace safe. We are calling on you to help us reach our goal and spread the word. DONATE TODAY

The current frequently shuts down, leaving parts of our building vulnerable to the extreme Texas elements and causing problems for our resident artists, staff and visitors.
