Arranged mid-way through each International Artist-in-Residence cycle, Open Studios offer the chance to get a behind the scenes look into the artists’ process. The artists discuss their work and their upcoming Artpace project in an informal setting. Food Trucks are always on site to purchase dinner, and drinks are always on us!
Hudson Showroom Openings
These intimate gallery walk-thru’s are a part of each opening in the Hudson Showroom, a gallery space devoted to curated exhibitions. During the openings the artist leads the audience through the gallery, shedding light on the work on view.
Art Talks feature notable speakers through lectures, panels, and symposia. These events bring together artists, critics, curators, and others to discuss ideas related to Artpace exhibitions, current issues in contemporary art and in the culture at large.
Window Works Openings
Walk-thru’s are a part of each opening of the Window Works project space. Organized in Artpace’s busy Main Avenue windows, this space activates the art viewing experience from the sidewalk level.
International Artist-in-Residence Opening & Talk
Resident artists and the guest curator join in conversation about the artwork completed while at Artpace. These lively dialogues bring closure to the residency for both artists and audience-offering curatorial insights as well as the opportunity to engage directly with the exhibiting artists.
