For the past 25 years, Artpace has welcomed over 260 groundbreaking artists to live, work, and exhibit in its space. The International Artist-in-Residence program’s 25th anniversary coincides with the approaching sunset of a 20-year funding commitment from Artpace founder, artist, collector, and philanthropist Linda Pace, who envisioned a place where artists would be given the freedom to experiment and express their own voice.
Artpace is also pleased to announce the Artpace 25th Anniversary Benefit Auction and Art Sale to support its International Artist-in-Residence program. This two-part event includes an online benefit auction, live from September 18–28, 2021 exclusively via Sotheby’s website, and features artwork donated by Artpace alumni artists and works from Janet Flohr’s Gift of Collaboration*. The event will also feature an art sale of the prints donated by Flohr and alumni artists, available directly through Artpace (online and in-person).
The artworks in both the benefit auction and art sell will be on view at Artpace from September 16–19, 2021. A reception will be held on Thursday, September, 16, from 6–8pm. Please RSVP Here.
